I was so indescribably happy 2 days ago when for the first time since my surgery 18 months ago I was finally back on the mountain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An easy loop, under three miles, above 4000 ft, huffing and puffing, and almost in tears with gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This trail accesses the west side of the Mount Hood Wilderness from the Lolo Pass Area and intersects with the Timberline Trail #600<\/a> and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lots of wildflowers still around<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and an amazing number of butterflies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The views of the upper parts of Mt. Hood were spectacular, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

and the wind on top helped to drive the many flies away hat surround you in the more wooded areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking down was as beautiful as looking up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lots of tree fall, cut and removed by the forest service, so you got a different display of patterned beauty along the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
