I am so tired of waiting,
Aren’t you,
For the world to become good
And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two –
And see what worms are eating
At the rind.

Music by Bela Bartok.

My heart just breaks. All over these days.

What an apt – alas! – posting! [Though I note that the sun is shining over those desolate landscapes….]
The Hughes poem and the Bartok dirges (and here I’m repeating myself) are so appropriate for this moment [this Presidential administration?] one could cry.
Kudos and thanks.
